Mezcla

What is Mezcla??

Mezcla translated means mixture, or variety. That is exactly what our mission entails. Mezcla was formed in order to provide Northwestern Students the opportunity to showcase themselves in a variety of ways from dancing or singing to reciting a poem or painting a portrait. Mezcla provides students an outlet to express themselves and their culture freely.

Although Mezcla is a Hispanic/Latino based organization, it has grown and opened its doors to students and organizations of all shades and backgrounds. Mezcla promotes diversity not only through various showcases of talents, but also through the diversity of its performers and members. The goal of Mezcla is not only to promote activity within Mezcla, but also to reach out to the entire student body and encourage them to showcase their talents for all to see.

Want to come to a meeting? Want to be involved?

If you would like to be a part of Mezcla or attend one of our meetings, you are more than welcome to! Meetings are usually held in the MCC main lounge (1936 Sheridan Road), unless otherwise stated.  Information for meetings for Fall 2011 will be available at a later date. Also, if you would like to be a performer for Mezcla but not necessarily a "behind the scenes" member (or vice versa), feel free to contact one of our members on the "Contact Us" page.  In addition, you can contact Mezcla immediately by filling out the form on this page.
